Health Promotion - Administration Support Role
The Australian Medical Association (WA) (AMA) has a position available for a person with an interest in youth health. The role covers administration and support for the Dr YES program and the Youth Friendly Doctor Training Program, though may also include involvement in other public health initiatives of the AMA.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:• Some current or previous employment in a similar role in the health sector• An interest in youth health• Analytical and research experience, conceptual and policy development skills• IT skills• Report writing skills• Excellent written and verbal communications skills• Strong administrative, time management and organizational abilities
Responsibilities include: • Supporting the coordination and organization of various health promotion program initiatives, in particular the youth programs• Providing administration support to the Dr Yes Medical Student Coordinators • Administering the Youth Friendly Doctor Training Program and assisting in its marketing and development• Undertaking a range of clerical activity in relation to the youth programs and other associated training / professional development programs• Completing reports for program activities
This position provides an excellent opportunity to be part of an exciting and dynamic organisation working across areas with a particular focus on youth health. It is anticipated that the successful will have completed formal studies in health promotion, have an interest in youth health, research and administration. Initially the position if offered for 12 months, with the potential to extend for a further period.
