Starting whenever you can in January 2017, this is a brand new Litigation Legal Secretary role is interviewing this week and has tremendous scope to really make your own and will be as much as you decide to make or it! You'll be an integral part of the initial members of this new, exciting Melbourne Office, and will be supporting three fantastic Lawyers who are all extremely friendly, down-to-earth and easy-going. This role covers all aspects of Insurance Litigation Law including:
- Professional Indemnity - Negligence/malpractice claims against professionals such as Builders, Accountants, Architects, Lawyers, Surveyors etc.
- Personal Injuries - Acting on behalf of Insurance Companies representing Medical Practitioners and similar.
- Public Liability - Claims in relation to injuries, property damage etc incurred in public places.
- Defective Property Claims - Including claims made under Builders' Warranty Insurance.
This important, varied and interesting role will see you carrying out tasks for the three Lawyers including: typing and preparing court documents; compiling Briefs; typing and drafting correspondence; dealing with medical practitioners and other experts/specialists; speaking with clients; and assisting with lots of general administrative and office management tasks as the Melbourne Office moves through its initial set-up stage and begins to grow and expand.
For this role you'll be a career-driven Legal Secretary looking for a busy, varied Litigation role. You'll have a positive, confident and professional approach and be someone who is happy helping out others and working as part of a small, professional, close-knit group and a brand new Melbourne Office. And you'll have good spelling, grammar, typing and Microsoft Word skills and be someone who takes pride in your work and in keeping your authors organised and the clients happy!
